Soccer
Soccer has become one of the most popular sports in the world that we live in today. Even though that this sport is not among the most popular sports on tv in the United States, it continues to be the most played and the most popular sport in most countries all around the world. In the states it is Pro and College Football that dominate the ratings on television, and most of the best athletes that play sports in America will tend to play in one of the traditional sports leagues that is big here in America.
Some people say that Americans do not like Soccer because we are not the best at it, but most people do not think that this great sport would be popular here even if we were the best in the world. With Football dominating for years now, and baseball and basketball fighting for second place, there is barely room for what most people call the fourth major sport in America, which is hockey. The NHL has trouble making the money that they need to, and most of the experts agree that there is not room for a fifth sport on tv in this country.
Even though this sport was never going to be one of the most popular sports here in this country, there was a league called the MLS formed anyway. You will rarely see any tv coverage of this league, but it is still going on even though it will never be what they want it to be.
