Media Outlets

Athletes in the world of sports today have a hard time hiding from the public and the media. In the old days sports stars could pretty much do anything that they wanted to do. A lot of times a sports star could get out of trouble because they were so well liked by the law enforcement officers as well as the fans.

Back in the early days of pro sports the athletes could not be kept up with as easily by the media because the newspaper was prettly much the only source for people to get the news other than what they would see on the television set. This was a good thing for the pro athlete and that is why people think the athletes of todays sports world are not as well behaved as the athletes from the past. This could really not be farther from the truth. They were just not watched as closely as the athletes of today.

Today there are many media members sent to every sports event that people are interested in. There are media outlets that do nothing but follow up on gossip and try to get the dirt on the biggest stars that we have in our country today. This has lead to a lot of things getting out to the public that would not have been that way back in the early days of sports. Some experts say the media is good for sports and that they keep the stars in line on a regular basis.
