Playgrounds for kids inspiring story time
When I was in third grade I moved from the town I grew up in to a town about twenty miles away. I was miserable in the new town. I missed my old friends I had grown up with and I knew no one. When school started up I dreaded recess, at the beginning that was. For a while I would just sit and watch kids from afar, wishing I had the guts to just go ask one of them if I could join in on the fun. But eventually I got bored of just sitting around so I began playing on the playground by myself. I had come up with this marvelous game, jungle woman.
I pretended I was like Tarzan and lived in the jungle and the playground was my jungle. Gives a whole new meaning to the word jungle gym. I would crawl up the tire ladder like an ape, swinging my arms, and slide down the slides pretending I was going down a waterfall. The playground became my closest friend and I no longer dreaded recess. Eventually kids saw how much fun I was having and they began asking if they could play with ME. I was ecstatic! From then on I had friends in class and during recess. We would always meet by the merry go round and once everyone was present we would run wild! Literally! And I can give thanks to my playground and imagination for my first friends made in my new town.
I was a very imaginative child growing up, as one can see, but playgrounds for kids in the present are so imaginative themselves, kids don’t need to be the only one coming up with ideas! There are pirate ship playgrounds, car playgrounds, playgrounds made to look like a rock mountain. Check out School Daz Inc to see just some. The possibilities are endless!
