Michael Jordan takes over the Bobcats
For those that do not know, the Charlotte Bobcats are an expansion team in the National Basketball Association. They joined the league in 2004 after the Hornets left Charlotte for New Orleans a couple season before. The Charlotte Bobcats are owned by the basketball icon, Michael Jordan and some of the players can be spotted wearing new Jordans.The Bobcats played their first season in the league during the 2004-2005 season. Even though it wasn’t a winning season for the Bobcats, Emeka Okafor was named the Rookie of the Year, and All Rookie First Team.The Charlotte Bobcats made it to the playoffs for the first time during the 2009 and 2010 season. They defeated the New Orleans Hornets on April 7, 2010, by one point to get into the playoffs. The Bobcats appeared in their first playoff game on April 18th against the Orlando Magic. The series did not turn out like the Bobcats would have liked, they ended up losing four straight games to Orlando, knocking them out of their first playoff appearance in the first round.As of the 2010 season, the Bobcats record stands at 188 wins and 304 losses during the regular season. In the playoffs the Charlotte Bobcats record stands at 0 wins and 4 losses since the teams inaugural season in 2004.Can the Bobcats bring a NBA Championship home to Charlotte next season?
